Community Renewal Fund Announcement
Yesterday saw the long awaited announcement of successful projects for the Community Renewal Fund. CEDOS would like to offer congratulations to all successful Authorities and projects, but also reflect on the large numbers of disappointed organisations that have waited patiently for a decision and that must be disappointed with the outcome. The extension of the deadline for projects to deliver and spend is welcomed.
There are clearly lessons to learned across the process and CEDOS will continue to engage with Government to influence processes and outcomes relating to future funds, notably the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.
We now hope the systems and processes required to administer and manage the fund are put in place quickly so projects have the maximum time available to deliver the most benefit to their communities, businesses and economies.
As a result of the announcement, CEDOS will be running an additional Community Renewal Forum event at 120m – 1pm on Friday 12th November.
